Filmmaker Jay Arnold began his career in commercial television, writing and directing short and long form programs. His first feature film, which he co-produced, was the 2009 musical “The Big Gay Musical.” His feature directorial debut was the 2012 romantic comedy “What Happens Next” starring Wendie Malick, Jon Lindstrom and Megan Hilty. which opened Philadelphia International Gay & Lesbian Film Festival, and was voted audience’s “viewers choice.” Jay directed and wrote the original screenplay for the 2023 romantic drama “Shoulder Dance.” Jay is based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
